Construction of Underground Disposal Fields

In cases where the disposal of the treated liquid waste cannot be possible to a licensed recipient, then this waste must be decontaminated and be sent to an Underground Disposal Field consisting of a pipe system with open joints for the flow of treated sewage. 

The pipe system is placed in trenches and surrounded by a layer of gravel to facilitate the diffusion of fluids. On the surface, the trench is filled with topsoil.

In the underground disposal system, the treated liquid waste is periodically distributed to the bottom of the trenches through charging wells.
