Improving the conditions for the investments in order to foster polycentric development by the leveraging local public administrations unexploited real estate (POLYINVEST)
Aim of the project
The Polyinvest project aimed to attract new investments to the regions of South-Eastern Europe by introducing some of the unused public properties to the real estate market. Polyinvest facilitated the entry of underutilized public properties into the real estate market through the development of an innovative information system, regarding the availability and characteristics of the properties to be utilized. All this information (legislation, restrictions, procedures, etc.) was aimed at the facilitation, service and successful action of private investors.
The activities and results achieved within the program were carried out with the aim of giving potential investors as much and more accurate information as possible to facilitate their investment plans.
Activities
Among the main activities were:
• The research of the real estate market of each region.
• Researching the legal and administrative rules and procedures governing the development of real estate in each partner region
• The creation of a library-archive of legal and administrative information for each region participating in the project.
• Analysis of the special characteristics of each region.
• Creation of an electronic platform to promote Polyinvest and attract investors.
Project Partners
The partners who participated in this project were eleven from a total of eight European countries (Veneto Region-Italy, Matese Employment S.c.p.a-Italy, Regional Agribusiness Center-Bulgaria, Oradea Metropolitan Area-Romania, Maribor Development Agency-Slovenia, University of Bucharest- Romania, Georama N.G.O- Greece, Austrian federal economic chamber- Austria, Association of municipalities of Szczesny-Hungary, ANCE Venezia-Italy)
Georama chose, after an open tender, as an external partner, the company Green Technologies Ltd for the realization of the physical object of the project, on his behalf.
