The European Waste4Think project was presented on Tuesday, 8 October 2019, at the International Solid Waste Association (ISWA) World Conference held in Bilbao (Spain). It highlighted the latest advances to date in the field of solid waste management, thanks to new technologies and citizen participation. The new techniques presented allow an approach to the management of municipal solid waste that is close to the Circular Economy model and at the same time explore different ways in which innovations in waste management could be implemented and encourage the objectives of the Circular Economy, which are: reduction, reuse and recycling of waste. The project involves the municipalities of Halandri (Greece), Zamudio (Spain), Cascais (Portugal) and Seveso (Italy).
